A Match Made In the High Desert
Lauren and Maciek joyfully request the pleasure of your company as we speak our vows and join in the sacred union in the presence of family and friends.
Event will be resplendent with fizzy sodas and coconut waters but no booze. Dress code is dressy casual; we just learned this term!
The Bride
A short snippet about the bride.
Lauren hails from the lands south of Boston, where she was raised with her two sisters on Cranberry Lane. A life-long learner, she loved playing in nature, riding bikes and reading as a kid, and still does. Career paths have included teaching, massage therapy, yoga and birthwork, which culminated into her current work as a somatic counselor. She has lived West for the past 20 years in Oregon, then Kauai, and now New Mexico (along with a stint in the Bay). Lauren was skeptical of dating when she met Maciek, yet quickly and deeply fell for his hilarious yarns and passionate banter with life.
The Groom
A short snippet about the groom.
Maciek was born in Eastern Europe deep behind the Iron Curtain and has never gotten over it. He came to the USA on a boat with his mother and learned English in Arkansas then got the hell out. Thankfully his family made the trek to Boston so he could become enamored with the Celtics and go to Dunkies. He averted law school, instead teaching a year in Japan and dedicating an era in NYC to being a ‘visual artist.’ This life dissolved during Covid and suddenly open to change, he came to Santa Fe, finding the overhauling of an adobe home a restorative act. Fully healed, he was ready to meet Lauren in the high desert.
